There was a shooting at the Mall not too long ago, iirc. Maybe 2 years ago? It was also in the food court, and I'm sure that witnesses to both would not be able to distinguish one incident from the other.

There were also 4 record stores and Durels pet shop. The puppet show at the fountain was cool also.
The last time I stepped foot in that place was 10 years ago to get my wife a Christmas present. I spent 20 minutes in there and told my kids there is no reason to ever come back.
Malls are history. Close the stores in them now and use the buildings for FedEx, Amazon, or whatever but malls are done.

I passed through the food court at Acadiana Mall in December 2018. Don't worry, you can mark me safe.

I got lost in the mall because of that. I slipped away from my mom and went to the fountain to see the puppet show, then I went to D.H. Holmes to ride the escalators.
They had the "God, TigerstuckinMS is old" version of an Amber alert in that place until they found me doing my own thing.
