Well, put a collar on your dog and it wouldn't get shot with a pellet gun.
Wait.....the determining factor on whether you shoot a dog out of your front yard or not is whether it has a collar on?
Is there a Reset button for your soul?

Serious question: how can you be an LSU fan and an "SEC homer"?

Well they have a few dogs, they don't have collars and they just let them roam around the neighborhood.

And I said "lately there have been a few dogs that come around and bark at my dogs through the window, getting them all worked up. They go outside and the dogs are at the fence and they are barking at each other and that today one of the dogs was in my yard, barking at my dogs, who were in the window barking back at them. I had enough of it so I got the pellet gun and I just wanted to scare it off. There was no collar on the dog, I didn't know if it was a stray so I just wanted to scare it off.
So you lied to her since earlier you said you did know that her dogs didn't have collars. You knew damn well it wasn't a stray, which means you used deliberately false arguments to mask your true motives.

You'd be toting an arse whipping by now if you shot one of my dogs with a pellet gun.

Yes, nothing causes long term damage like getting hit with a pellet shot by a cheap pellet gun, in which the pellet just bounced off of the dog.

Everyone's parents were just like,"meh... don't shoot anyone in the face", like that rule ever going to be followed

They knew how to keep their sons from wanting to chop off their dong and wear their sister's dresses unlike the coddling parents of today.

I keep a loaded Red Rider BB gun by my back door to "train" the damn squirrels to stay out of my garden.
I would not hesitate to train an aggressive loose dog in the same manner. But all my neighbors are cool and control their dogs so it is never necessary.
A dog that's loose and chillin would get a doggie treat and I'll try to find the owner.

I think he means you didn't kill the dog and now is forced to live with shite owners who let it roam around with no collar to probably be hit by a car or killed by wild animals.

Yes, I was not 100% sure who the dog belong to until today. If I knew the dog belonged to someone I would have been less likely to shoot it..
You can swear I shot the damn dog with an AK or something. Should I use a nerf gun next time?
