Went to Costco (BR) today to pick up a few things before the rainy weather sets in and there were some major shortages in merchandise.
NO:
Toilet Paper of any brand - completely out
Paper Towels
Flour - running very low
Ziplock bags - only a few boxes of sandwich left
Parchment paper - out
Eggs - running low
Pepcid tablets - limit 1
Meat section was about normal and I picked up some nice lamb chops

Overall, there were a lot of bins that are usually full that were noticeably depleted -

It's too early for the panic buyers to hit the store because a storm in the gulf so I don't know what is actually causing the shortages.

Didn't notice any shortages in Lafayette yesterday.

Tequila and street tacos were readily available.

They've been short for a while now on certain odd items. I don't quite understand it. Sam's has had items that Costco hasn't but they are by no means much better.
I've been finding the hard to locate items at smaller stores, with almost no issues.

The trucks supplying the store are probably stuck on the bridge.

If they got vodka, I'm good. When they run out of that, I'll panic.

Sorry about that. A couple months ago my wife ordered parchment paper online not realizing how much she was buying. I’ve never seen so much parchment paper. She doesn’t even use it much. Pretty sure she caused the current national shortage.
