And these statistics are about 5 days old. Memorial day weekend totals push this a bit higher.

A recent string of shootings in New Orleans further boosted gun violence numbers in 2021, which, so far, are outpacing last year's numbers.
Six shootings in New Orleans since Monday morning left one person dead and eight people wounded, according to preliminary information from the New Orleans Police Department.

police are scared to police because of the consent decree BS and cops suck narrative
the DA is under investigation and now hated by both sides for his decision put 15 year olds who killed a lady in a car jacking on trial as adults (when he said in his campaign he wouldn't put juveniles on trial as adults)

i loathe tommy tucker but every tuesday morning he has that peter scharf dude on and they talk crime and it's utterly depressing the state of criminal justice (or lack thereof) because of the utter incompetent leadership of the city
