When I think of western civilization, this is not what I pictured.

Or really civilization in general.

Sneaker culture is a blight on society, the trend of wearing basketball shoes with a suit needs to end yesterday.

In 30 years, they’ll be posting about ‘remember Hibbets Sporting Goods in Monroe’ threads and wax nostalgic about it, lol.

It wasn't over Jordan's per se. It was a scholarly dispute over a sonnet featuring Jordan's as its muse. The perp argued the merits of iambic pentameter. The victim just wasn't trying to hear that. Might as well have been 1600s England.

And this is why this type of shite will never change. He could have, you know, addressed the music and culture that glorifies this type of behavior. Touched on the fact that none of the people in the video have a father, and few have a serviceable mother. Stated the need for drastic change in the black community and take accountability for their own actions so that they can pull themselves out of the hopeless despair they live in before it's too late. But no. Let's get the white folks to fund some midnight basketball games. That ought to fix everything.
