I believe that he is. I’ve never heard of any violence or shootings involving Franklinton High School. Bogalusa and Franklinton are night and day on the ratchet meter.

So, we have multiple accounts of the shooter being a Calais, followed by multiple accounts of Calais being a common name in the Cecilia area down to one of the football player’s names…but Franklinton is the shite hole. Got it.

It was written by Franklinton’s police chief. He puts a lot of well written posts on fb and having met him there’s no way he’s actually writing the posts. For what it’s worth he’s a white but the only time I’m ever seen him in a police uniform was when the mayor rightfully tried to fire him several years ago and he wore his “dress whites” to a town alderman meeting. I was incredibly embarrassed just watching him try to speak and all he could get out was “this is insane” over and over again. Normally he’s wearing a shirt that’s too tight and a ball cap on backwards. Real baw. And for the record the sheriff, Jason Smith, was witnessed taking control of the scene. Justin brown the police chief didn’t do shite.

Majority of the crime happens on the west side of the parish but outside of Franklinton town limits. But the houses in town are starting to get old and it won’t be long before the country comes to town.

So a Cecilia fan brings a gun to the Superdome and shoots an opposing team's fan, but Franklinton is a trashy town? I was at the game and witnessed incredible sportsmanship and class by the FHS Demon players, support groups, administration, and fans.
Washington parish is one of the poorer parishes in Louisiana, but if you ever get to experience a game at 1 Demon Circle, you will understand what this school means to this community. It doesn't matter race, social status, etc fans sit side by side and cheer on their team. Franklinton may be poor and trashy by your standards, but it's citizens and fans are first class.

It really is amazing to me for a parish in the south to just be completely unconcerned about race. There’s a small percentage of people that still live that life, including the Bogalusa mayor, that only think about race constantly. But outside of those few no one in WP gives a shite about black and white.
