using some of the evidence from the wife's history of abuse

This presupposes there was not also abuse of the son. We don’t know whether or not that was present, historically.

Here is her original post from early April followed by about 70 comments mostly about how the dude was abusive and she couldn’t get him served with papers etc. The kid who shot him was her step-son.

quote:

PROTECTIVE ORDER. 17652 Gray Moss Avenue Good afternoon neighbors. It has been a true pleasure getting to know everyone I have come in contact with in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, I am unable to live in the neighborhood anymore. Due to years of physical abuse. Recently, it came to an end with me being punched in the face twice in one month and needing dental restoration to fix my teeth that were broken. I have a protective order that the EBR Sheriff's office has tried to serve numerous times. But the abuser will not answer the door or return messages left on his cell phone from them. The Male figure that lives at 17652 Gray Moss Avenue says he is afraid of no one... and beats his wife.... but will not answer the door for a piece of paper. Neighbors beware, he is a very unstable NARCISSIST !!!!!! Unfortunately, my belongings remain in the house..

This is one of her posts on the Nextdoor thread after her and her son left that house

quote:

susan templet, White Oak Estates·17 Apr Again thanks to everyone for the suggestions and support.... I am so blessed to have such a strong group of family around me. That will no longer tolerate this beast anymore. Gods will be done will come to fruition eventually. Every DOG will have his day when they come before the holy gate.... all I can do is pray for the man I married that has beat me for years. Sometimes to the point that it took lots of makeup to hide it from his son (my stepson) and my own son. It's such a shame that you cannot (even though you want to) have contact with your stepson. I do miss him and so does my son. I that it would not be a good situation inside the residence for my stepson of I contacted him. Such a sad situation..... so sad that the strong arms that hold and protect you. And the hands that caress you beat you... till you feel like you are no one. But I have found a support group within my catholic church. Jesus did not intend for me to live this way.... Amen..Gods will has been spoken to me....... In Jesus name I pray everyday..

George O’Neal isn’t as bad as O’Neal but that area is going downhill fast. It’s old and looks it. That area along Antioch is a shithole too.

South Harrell’s Ferry north is a no go zone for me. I’d love to live somewhere in white oak but that whole area will have the Sherwood Lakes stigma in the next 10 years.

Poor kid did what he had to do.

Should have had a lawyer before he talked.

I hope I’m on that jury.

Great job posting the update.

quote:

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The family of a Baton Rouge teen accused of killing his father earlier this month says they had been searching for the boy for more than a decade.

The teen’s sister says she only just found out where Anthony Templet, 17, is located after he was arrested for manslaughter.

“After 11 years of waiting to hear if my brother was still alive, he is found,” the sister said.

“He has been secluded and abused all these years by his own father. My brave brother had to defend himself for the last time against that evil man.”

The sister, Natasha, told WAFB by phone Monday that Burt Templet took Anthony from their home in Texas in 2008 when the boy was 5-years-old.

Just because the dad is a drunk doesn't give him the right to be physically and verbally abusive. And when someone is that way, whether it is right or wrong, they put themselves in a situation where there might be a time when someone gets tired of their shite and has an emotional reaction.. Which involves tried to shot them. Can't blame the 17 year old.

That is crazy. It sounds like a story that will be turned into a movie or something.
