Really wish a baller developer would buy the valley homes out and make it a Perkins rowe/ river ranch type neighborhood.

If it were only that simple.....

No it doesn't.

Port Royal is a very chill place.

Would be MUCH better than Valley, but aim a little higher. Both of those areas were half assed projects.

You'd make bank. The location is great but the trash in that one neighborhood keeps it down.

Developers have tried. But there’s so many houses without proper succession and titles that it would take years to negotiate each property.

Interesting.. honestly didn’t think anyone tried because of the reasons like you mention. I think about it daily when I cut through to get home. God, I wish that place would be swept clean and redeveloped.

Best bet would be for the City Parish to acquire blighted and back taxed properties and resell in a package.

Bawell and Valley aren’t terrible. But if you’ve ever driven back in between Bawell and the interstate on those side streets

That neighborhood has really changed. My sister used to live there back in the 80’s. Long time ago I guess.

Not surprised. Behind that Wendy's is pure ghetto terror dome.

The biggest demarcation line in BR is Bawell between Ramsay Dr. and Valley Park. 100 feet and a fence is the difference between $1M+ homes and a literal ghetto.

I love getting off the interstate at College Dr, going straight, it's easy to predict what cars are headed north, and what cars are turning on Corporate

Continuing on College Dr

Turning on to Corporate

Real problem is that abandoned school back there is built on a Super Fund haz mat site. You can’t develop that area without spending millions to get all of that dirt and waste out of there.

They built a school on a hazmat site?

What abandoned school?

And there isn’t an EPA superfund site in Valley Park. There’s only two in EBR.

You do know that Port Royal and Waffle House are the same building, right?

My SO just bought a house within a mile of College/Bawell.

I think I'm going to get her some more ammo and maybe a new pistol this weekend.

That area has gone to complete shite.
