They're relocating a school into valley Park building this year . I didn't realize that area was that bad . Is it like carjacked middle of the day bad or just stuff like this ?

SO and I wanted to cycle from her house to LSU and we routed ourselves to go through Goodwood and went down Jefferson specifically to avoid Bawell.

Why wouldn’t you just take Goodwood/ClayCut/Capital Heights then over through the Garden District to Dalrymple anyways?

Depends on the length of the ride we want to do and whatnot. Goodwood is high traffic. But yes, that is typically the route we take. Then dip over to Broussard via Glenmore then its Kleinert/Park/LSU and back.

Gotcha. Don’t be afraid to scoot down Glenmore and over the bridge during the day. It’s not bad. We do it when we’re wanting to get over to Southdowns.

Yeah. There’s so much vehicle traffic there during the day that it isn’t a big deal. But I wouldn’t bike that route unless needing to get to Southdowns.
The easier route to campus is the one we talked about earlier.

Valley Park had a murder not 4 weeks ago. Been quiet there.
Man when I was at LSU, tons of students lived just past said shooting in those townhomes on the right (name escapes me). The place had a pool table and bar. I still see them when I pass by that direction...not often.
Yes and the streets by the hotels are full of characters up to no good.
