Uh, that was fringe groups. We've seen somewhat moderate liberals turn into raving lunatics.

An estimated 2 million+ women marched because they were convinced Trump was going to "take away the rights of women", whatever that's supposed to mean.

You can admit it. There was never this much anti-Obama fervor ever.

you're right, but i don't necessarily thing marching for some cause makes you a raving lunatic. ANTIFA and crazy Berkeley liberals have gone completely off the deep end for sure.

not to mention that the things Obama was being accused of potentially doing were batshit crazy, while Trump has already shown to be in favor of some wild shite like being skeptical of NATO Article 5, increasing coal production, etc.

So being skeptical of euros free-riding like Ike Eisenhower?

Increasing coal production like every president since the advent of coal save BHO?

Ignorance

"all for one, one for all" re: NATO has been pretty standard since the end of WWII no?

we have approximately 50k coal workers in America currently. you think all of that decline is solely due to Barack Obama?

I can't overstate how shaken and emotional lawmakers are today. Every one I've interviewed has broken into tears discussing the shooting.

The fact they're marching isn't the issue. It's the cause they're marching for. I've seen seemingly previously rational people (like my sibling) take to the streets because they think Trump is going to take their rights away. The rhetoric is not comparable to the anti-Obama stuff especially considering the Hollywood and media involvement.

I don't see how a president being skeptical of articles of war or wanting to boost domestic industries is "wild shite". Perhaps you've been too conditioned.

I'm not a huge Trump guy but we never saw celebrities being praised for saying they want to blow up the White House or holding up the severed head of the POTUS when BO was in office.

Three different administrations have taken members to task about not taking their defense spending seriously. This administration is letting it be known that they can't ignore their responsibilities.

Also, I am pretty sure we've had a few big geopolitical shakeups since WW2 ended.

As far as coal goes, why is it "crazy" for coal production to be on the table? So far you haven't demonstrated how the current admin is giving voice to a "lunatic fringe" with either the coal or NATO shifts.

i can get behind this. i think people got real used to divided government after the last few years and the surprise of Trump winning combined with a GOP congress has some centrists and most liberals terrified. the polarity in american politics is going to lead to these huge swings. we went from a liberal black president to Donald Trump.

well yeah because most celebrities are super liberal.

FWIW, I think Trump did a great job today.

Can some send a link to where it is being reported he is unconscious since being shot and going through a second surgery? I don't see that being reported.

Who said it defines an entire group? It illustrates a propensity for normalization of hateful and sensationally inflammatory rhetoric on the extreme left though. To suggest it is so fringe and minimal that it should be ignored is nonsense.

With all the completely bullshite narratives pushed by the left including ACTUAL media outlets about Trump and his followers being dangerous, I don't want to hear any bullshite from the left about how absurd it is to suggest the rhetoric and extremists on the left aren't dangerous, particularly after multiple riots, assaults, and now political shootings.
