went to high school 1968-72, at that time most of the trucks in the student parking lot had a rifle or shotgun in the gun rack in the window, and on more than a few occasions a firearm was brought to shop class for some purpose, there was no policy against it. The point of this being the problem is the mental state of some kids today not that they have access to firearms.
My Drafting instructor used to carry a .44 mag in a holster on occasion.
Lots of kids brought guns to school in the vehicle.

17 confirmed fatalities so far. Just absolutely terrible and senseless

If it's a licensed dealer they could go to jail and lose their license. I don't think it happens often. And I go to gun shows a few times a year

So why can't our government sit down and figure it out? The economy tanks and we've got all kinds of meetings going on. Any issue gets more attention. This happens and nobody bats an eye. Our country isn't secure. As much as we want to talk about instability elsewhere, the gun violence in this country is out of control. I mean if we all can't get together and compromise to save our children, what can we get together for? If I had the means to move my family to a safer country I think I would have to seriously consider it. We have politicians more worried about twitter beef than solving major problems
I can't solve that and give you a solid answer to that problem man. I'm just a fish in a big pond.
Like I said being pro gun, 1 shooting is too many.
There will be another school incident in the next month. We will then be discussing it.
I'd hate to see it with my son's school, but it happened a few months ago at a local school here. Only difference is, no one knows where mattoon, IL is. This is media getting paid on a tragedy.

Mental health has been blamed on school shootings since as far as I remember.
I hate that everyone wants to delve into the shooters mind and find a reason why. Newsflash, crazy will never be stopped. We don't live in a Minority Report world where we can stop bad shite from happening.

And, the shooter is still alive. While I'd like to know why and some of the families may want to know, I'm not sure if his survival is a good thing.

This still took place in the early to mid 90's. Just long as you didn't flaunt it, it was fine.

I guess Sandy Hook set the modern day bar at 26.

I’m not sure why you are even arguing with me, the guy on tv was just saying that guns can be illegally purchased at gun shows, which isn’t an incorrect statement.
The 9mm in my truck was purchased for cash in a gun show parking lot

Shooter expelled for disciplinary reasons.

So all the handguns used in Chicago were all bought illegally at a gun show and not possibly stolen or bought on the black market/Saturday night specials....
Baw you dumb....

We can study these killers and learn to profile them. We can learn what the early signs to look for are.
The same thing they did with serial killers.
These kids all share certain traits. You just have to figure out what those traits are.

They have mental health issues in Canada too but they have only had one mass school shooting in that Country in the last 30 years. How about looking up to our Northern neighbors for the solution.

And you could have bought it in a Walmart parking lot just as easily

Correct
Again, all I’m saying is that it happens. Not sure why that’s what y’all are focused on
