Nah, they have to get at least some buy in from their sheep. Without some sheep on board the herd will never move.
They need their sheep blaaaaatting in support so not everyone thinks it's a crazy idea. Once the sheep are on board they can fire up the bots and make it look like a majority support the cause then they can have their way.
It's why the media makes stuff up and repeats it over and over so the low IQ get on board. I mean they admit it's what they do but I guess some don't mind being manipulated.

They already have that, Democrats want to make guns illegal. They’re now calling any semi-automatic an assault weapon. That’s most guns in the country and they are openly calling to ban them.
