The two fraternities are Delta Kappa Epsilon and Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI).
Documents obtained by the I-TEAM show an urgent complaint was made on September 3, 2026, pertaining to the DKEs.
One of the people who reported the alleged hazing incident said one of his roommates told him, “They had me doing wall sits and were actively water boarding me in the process.”
The individual filing the complaint noted they wished to be anonymous.
The case involving Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity (FIJI) notes pledges were forced to “chug a gallon of chocolate milk, which caused many of them to puke.”
They were also told to bring a squirrel to their meeting, according to documents obtained by the I-TEAM.
That individual filing that complaint also wished to remain anonymous.
The interim suspension for the fraternities is for all chapter events regarding potential violations of the LSU Code of Student Conduct.
In both cases, the reports note LSU Police were not notified.

That may be, but both these chapters were recent returns to campus and thus on the thinnest of ice, especially DKE. The situational awareness of those kids was severely lacking. They're giving you a trial run at being back on campus and you almost immediately frick it up.
It was also a big frick you to the alums that went to bat for them. Good luck getting them to stick their neck out again.

It's stupid on both sides. I'd question my son's good sense if he ever desired to participate in such a thing.

These groups have no place on a modern campus. Get rid of all Greek groups.
