Shell has taken a different route. A lot of there Project managers, asset control, etc are still required to make visits offshore. Doesn't make sense to house all of those guys in Houston, and then fly to New Orleans, to then drive to Houma to fly offshore. Easier to just make everyone live around New Orleans and take the 45 min drive down to Houma to fly offshore.

Well that explains why there’s minimal parking around the stadium.

Yeah …. I wonder how successful soccer will be in NO

An open air soccer stadium in NOLa sounds just lovely from June-September

Should build a new saints stadium there

Going from a "high rise" building on Poydras to a "Mid Rise" building.

Hmmm. Won't need as many people to fill the space. And the intereding cut outs aren't office space either.

So what One Shell become? besides empty.

Pelicans need a new Arena long before the Superdome needs to be replaced

The Dome has been highly adaptable. The Arena is not. It was build on the cheap and is woefully outdated, and basically cannot be upgraded to current and future standards.

NOLA is actually losing out on concerts because of the arena, its not just about basketball.

Probably something stupid like the Hancock Whitney Center.

They will probably move their people in.

Hypothetically of course

It’s the league right below MLS I think. Kinda like AAA is/was in baseball.

Sort of. USL is its own professional league. MLS clubs used to own USL clubs in a major/minor league type relationship but I believe the MLS is developing their own minor league/feeder clubs. USL competes alongside MLS, just doesn’t have the big money or names. It’s a good league though and I’m pumped to get a team in the city. I think the city would embrace it.

Not a big soccer guy myself but MLS isn’t exactly major leagues either. Guess our only choice though. Can’t exactly hope over to England and see Man City.
