Yep. 7 months in Denver after 5 years in New Orleans... Houston isn't my type of town. Montrose is definitely the best area. But it's still a very weak live music city. Especially compared to the places I've lived.
Probably the only city in Texas that I'd enjoy living would be Austin, if that tells you anything. I saw the Free Press Festival lineup, and it was very poppy. I even remember the big beer festival downtown, had Riff Raff as the music headliner. Once again, not my type of place. But wherever you're happy living, more power to ya.

They don't list it. It's a question we as managers ask. International schooling is insanely expensive.

I guess... I mean, it was made to sound like a decision you made before an interview or some such with just some paper to go from. I'm a manager in an ONG related business and it's a question I ask but more as a help to get an insight as to where somebody is in their life and what their goals' may be. Certainly not as an automatic disqualifier...

A CV is usually used in academia

OK gotcha. Overseas it's typically called a CV all the time. I've only heard resume used in the US.

CV will generally include much more information like grants, publications, research, etc

It's directly related to cost for me. A family with 2+ kids is just as expensive as 2 rotational employees.

OK I didn't actually know that. I do know that all the international companies ask me for a CV and not a resume.

I work in chemicals in Europe and no one knows what a resume is. It is all called CV here.

Fair enough, that post just felt a little weird to me. I'm not foreign to the international standard being a CV, that's why I didn't question it as well. Anyhow, I seriously don't envy you based on what I know of the business in your part of the world. Admittedly, I know nothing of the particulars in Cameroon.
More to the subject, I find it odd that everyone was skeptical, at best, that Shell's Appomattox venture would get funded but it did. It is also odd that they are going full steam ahead with a new GOM venture in Vito while in the midst of shedding so many jobs. I guess 6500 worldwide isn't very large relative to the company. I will be pissed the frick off if we have 10 people working on this Vito bid only for it to be scrapped and have to do it again in the near future. Sigh, what can we do though?
