One in office, all these people do is campaign for reelection and then once reelected they simply do nothing because they've already won both elections. It's asinine. Our congress spends more time campaigning for reelection and pandering to their local communities than they do actually doing work.

I always thought it interesting that Roxie Roker (Lenny's mom) was married to a white Jewish man (lenny's dad) in real life as well. I'm sure her real life experiences added a lot to the show.

It had to be a pretty interesting childhood for Lenny as well. he seems to have turned out quite well.

Last line of the lyrics, "finally got a piece of the pie"? Dem mentality is a finite "pie" of wealth so anyone getting a bigger slice is doing so at the expense of others. No clue as to expanding the whole pie so it is in fact infinite and what anyone or everyone else has is irrelevant to what self can attain.

ETA: The Jefferson's were THE black family that moved into the Bunker's neighborhood that Archie was afraid would lead to integration and lowered property values. When the spinoff occurred the Jefferson's moved to the apartment building with the Kravitz as neighbors.

When Flo and her previously unseen husband James were spun off they were relocated to Chicago public housing through rewriting the family history.

If the founding fathers could see SJL as a congresswoman they would have done a African ban.
