Do people actually like this? It seems like people mostly trying to seem cool by overzealously acting like they like it.

Of course some is fiction. It's a whole week dedicated to sharks. But there's a lot of real stuff and it's very interesting.

I agree. It's worse with chicks that pretend how awesome it is. They do the same thing for preseason football. Every chick on fb OMG FOOTBALLS BACK!!!!

Yea - they got a ton of flak the past couple years for running those silly fictional shows, and decided to dump them.
