I'm looking to go there for my Anniversary. I would like to know if it's better staying on Palm Jumeirah or Downtown area. Should you hire a driver, Uber or rental car. Best things to do while there.

It’s a shame we don’t have a Travel Board

Go next door to Oman instead. Dubai is cool, but it’s a big city. Travel that far, you might as well experience the culture.

dunno, but we stayed in Doha for a night on our way back from the Maldives and it was a pretty cool city....

Doha's airport is ridiculously nice, so much better than Dubai's....

I usually roll through Dothan at 2am from Ohio on my way to the beach. Wife wants me to finally get a hotel and stop for the night, but at this point, I'm only 100 minutes away from PCB.

You should ask Latoya Cantrell, mayor of New Orleans. She’s been there on the taxpayer’s dime.

Brother use to live there. Visited 12 years ago. Don’t head to the beach in the summer. Hot tub water and sand is hotter. Try out the ATV on the sand dunes. Fun time chasing camels. I’d visit Old Dubai. Great restaurants. Indoor skiiing is fun for an afternoon and the Atlantis water park.

I have no interest in ever visiting the ME. Honestly I can’t fathom taking my wife/family there.

Oman is definitely one of my favorite places I’ve been. The people are awesome. Worth a day or two in Dubai then head to Oman. May as well hit Abu Dhabi too — only ~1 hour drive from Dubai.

This. I don't understand wanting to go to places like this. Outside of traveling for work, there are places I would never take my family and the Middle East and India are at the top of the fricking list.

Take them to Australia or New Zealand.

Fake shitty culture with no history. If you like Vegas, go for it I guess. Long way to go for a fake city.

After what they pulled in New Zealand and Australia with the ZERO Covid policy! No thanks!

Have heard it said Dubai is Eye Candy with No Soul.
