give the homeless 1 of 2 choices. Work with the social workers and get help or go to jail, most often for trespassing, drugs, paraphernalia, etc.

Sounds like a simple solution.

First day a civilian gets actual human shite thrown at them, stabbed by a needle or knife then robbed.

I agree it’s stupid but if I’m a cop there I’m happy as hell.

Of course police would love to limit the types of calls they get. The question is what idiot civilians want to put themselves in situations without the ability to defend themselves?

To move to San Francisco.

Here's the part that gets overlooked.

How does anyone, in any profession, gain experience?

By working the "minor " cases first. So, SF wants to take away these valuable learning experiences for young cops, not to mention it keeps the cops in touch with their people of their precinct.

Now, it's all being removed, so when things escalate, the cops will lack some knowledge of tendencies, etc. that the criminals may do.

That's going to work out very well for those unarmed civilians.

This right here. Who are these civilians signing up for this? But the most important question, will they live stream their interactions for the rest of the world to see this first hand?

I don't understand how a civilian can go on private property. I would forcefully remove anyone that showed up at my house.

Have any of these liberal brain surgeons ever wondered how society developed law enforcement in the first place?

If the cops are having to spend too much time on homelessness issues, maybe it is a sign that you NEED TO STOP MAKING IT POSSIBLE TO BE HOMELESS IN SF.

You have been throwing tons of resources at this “problem” for decades and it is steadily getting worse. Maybe the fricking problem is that you are subsidizing this shite so people show up to take advantage of it.

And I used to think SF was an awesome town. I have been a couple times and loved it. (no homo, not that there would be anything wrong with that)

Not sure I could go back until this sorts itself out.
