Yeah. That's what the composite guidance is showing here:
SHIELD - NOAA
The front lines out pretty quickly into AL. It does show cells out front in Southern/Middle MS and AL. Looks like a mess all day long.

About 15 miles to the north. I don't associate with river rats.

I think he’s referring to people who live on or near the Tennessee river.

This would be around 4PM Wed. for your area. What you don't want to see are those discreet super cells out in front of that line.

I'm no weather expert but it seems like this stretch of Southeastern states has really ramped up in activity to rival or even surpass Tornado alley as the more notorious tornado belt. Seems like from somewhere around Alexandria in Louisiana and ramping up in the more intense storms into Central Mississippi and Northern Alabama.

I think the current line of thinking is dixie alley is the real tornado alley while "tornado alley" is there, just not as prevalent as first thought.

It is some of this, but Dixie Alley, unfortunately, will always see more tornadoes impacting populated areas. If a super cell rolls through the plains of Oklahoma on an Enhanced risk day and puts down a Ef4 or 5 that stays on the ground for 20 miles of corn fields, it isn't going to garner much attention beyond the chaser community and the news outlets who bid for the footage. There aren't many places in the Deep South that can happen. We just have a denser population with moderately sized towns spread out everywhere.

Do they ever put those Categorical Outlooks in motion? Because that one would drag it's nuts all over Austin and Norman.

Clearly not a Big 12 fan.

It's that time of year again. Instead of bitching about cold we bitch about thunderstorms and pollen. Then oppressive heat. Then three weeks of nice Fall weather. Then bitch cycle starts over again.

You can accurately tell that the weather will be terrible with James Spann going on his typical tirade about trolls, etc.
He's very good at what he does, but he goes overboard in getting mad at people who question his "authority".

Skip used to talk about the tornadoes that hit Starkville. They do millions in improvement.
