Not exactly sure what you are asking, 58 mph+ triggers a severe thunderstorm warning but a tornado warning isn’t based on any specific wind speed

What MPH wind triggers the warning/probability?
Thunderstorm winds are strong enough to trigger a severe thunderstorm warning if they are 58mph or stronger.
A severe thunderstorm warning can also be issued if the storm is believed or confirmed to be producing hail 1 inch in diameter or larger.

The local weather people issue wind advisories. I dunno if that was some made up thing or if it was specific triggered by sustained wind speeds.

My cousin lives an hour north of Austin Texas. He said he was eating on his back patio when the front came through yesterday. All of a sudden he noticed a piece of plywood landed in his backyard, 30 seconds later he and his family were in a closet, 30 seconds after that it was over and his house was destroyed.
Looks like your cousin had a beautiful home, Im thankful he and his family are alright.
That story really hammers home how quickly you can go from sitting at home without a care in the world to just praying your family survives the next few minutes.
I hope with his faith and a little help from the insurance company they are able to rebuild quickly.

I’m not sure about those, they are fairly rare but I’m sure the smarter ppl in the thread can give you an answer

I’m currently under a torcon rating of 7 now. If that’s not bad enough, my left rear tire just blew and now getting a new one put on.

Heard the hard rain and small hail hitting my bedroom window.

I don't care for the looks of the cell near Pleasant Hill, LA. Its top is around 45k ft and the lightning has picked up. There's some rotation to it.
