I think today the moderate areas underperform while the slight areas way over perform

I base this off nothing other than gut instinct and the way the weather feels today. So nobody should take this post seriously

Yeah she did.

The cap isnt that strong but the dry layer between the LCL and the LFC will be. Lots of dry air getting pulled into potential updrafts and evaporating attempts at condensation.

I'm beginning to think our East TX threat may be the play for today. I'm just not impressed with Iowa. Texas has a cap, but it isn't all that strong. Good CAPE, decent shear. HRRR firing cells into the evening.

Definitely park the cars in the garage this afternoon.

You might be right.

Cloud deck needs to clear out of Iowa.

I pulled a PDS sounding from the general Dallas/FW area. It was contaminated, though.

What we looking like around Tulsa? Locals still holding to the idea that storms essentially split this area and track north and south. Sort of been their mo on this day since the weekend.

Oklahoma in general is going to have some forcing for sinking air, which is going to make it harder for storms to get going along with the dryness overall in the column.

General idea is storms probably dont fire but if they do they will probably be bad.

Torando risk is low down here. More of a wind and hail risk with the stronger storms.

I’m thinking east Texas, Shreveport, Texarkana areas get most action today. North La, southern and central Ar, western ms get some good t storms but no significant tornadoes. Maybe some broad rotation in cells
