Local weather guy in OKC said to be prepared for up to 80 mph gusts. Damn.

I've got a pretty good view to the south west from my hotel room. May be interesting if the storm near Snyder gets bad as it moves in around 630.

Too much to the south of the Lincoln stuff to see tornadoes imo. Their inflow is cut off.

Pretty heavy quarter sized hail in Wichita right now. My car is in the garage, GF's is outside. :nana: :nana: :nana:

You must really hate your GF's car.

It's a little broad of a rotation, but we might have a tornado to the north of Abiline.

Little rotation heading generally toward Abiline, might see that warned soon.

The tornado threat appears to be diminishing as things are beginning to grow upscale, unless something can fire out in the warm sector ahead of the main line. There could still be spin ups within the line but it looks like things should start transitioning to a high wind threat. This has underperformed, even my very low expectations, so far today.

"PDS" Tornado Watch til 12AM. "PDS" is Particularly Dangerous Situation. Higher confidence in long-track tornadoes:

Last one of these issued in DFW area was 5 years ago.

South of Woodward OK looks like it could get a warning.

I've been out of pocket today and not able to keep up, but agree that this has been a dud, especially with all of the talk and PDSs being issued.

I'll take a bust. Starting to line up through Texas. Little bit popping off in the warm sector, but been a bunch of ugly cells today.

Yeah San Angelo NWS is reporting hail all over the place and a bit of rotation near Haskell, but nothing yet.

The PDS has to be out of an abundance of caution, because there's been plenty to suggest tornadoes would be limited today.

Again, South of Woodward, OK. Check it out. It has gone from nothing to impressive in the last 10 minutes. It has plans.

Haha, she drives an older Infinity SUV that's exterior is practically a tank. Probably the 5th hail storm it's been through with no damage. My vehicle is much newer. It got garage priority.

It looks like it's finally starting to make a push/development eastward, I will be heading to my parents in a bit.

Unfortunately, the high wind threat is very real looking for the DFW area tonight.

Color me unimpressed, the rotation is still broad and not apparently tightening up with storms to the south.

There some promise though, maybe along the edge that'll pass just south of woodward.

ETA: I'm with rds re: high winds through the metroplex.

I love radar tracking storms in the plains. The number of radars and all the overlap is so great. Any cell out there can be looked at from 3 or 4 radars.

The KDDC radar had the best look at that action south of Woodard. It has broken up now but at the time of my post it was very impressive.

Looks like one of the cells south of Lincoln found it's inflow, btw.
