Just saw an article that said: only the second time in 11 years that Austin metro area is under a significant threat. Crazy to think that a city in central Texas (Austin) has not been under more tornado threats throughout the years.

Graph tells me to expect tv ratings with no power, no thanks

Wtf
Here's a tornado for the evening, and for the morning recap heres some possible snow to freeze your nuts off.
All we need now is a short 4 hour heat wave and we will hit the season trifecta

Large hatched area on both Friday and Saturday...not good. Stay safe out there.
Friday
Saturday

Saturday

Those NAM forecasts look bad for westLa/EastTX and Eastern Ms/WestAl with all the individual cells ahead of the front. The delta regions of La, Ms, Ar rarely get many of those cells, front usually lines out through here

I still wouldn’t be surprised to see the central part of hatched area bumped to moderate on Saturday

Has the black shade (significant) ever been used before in a SPC outlook? I know April 27 2011 had the purple (high) in west Alabama

Yeah, it's been in use for a while.

I mean has it ever been posted on a map in an outlook? Not just an option in the legend

I keep seeing Facebook friends share shite from this doomsday catastrophe page. "Violent long track tornadoes and hurricane force winds"
I've run across them during severe weather events before and it's always this over the top bullshite.
