Driving from Biloxi to Pensacola at 5:00 am tomorrow morning should be fine. The last of the bad weather looks to be on top of or passing by Pensacola at midnight tonight

The dynamics aren't in place yet. Check a radar out into the gulf, some cells firing ahead of the main line. All starting to come into place.

Probably, but this lingering cloud cover makes me hopeful the worst will end up east of here.

Just to put it in perspective the Tor-Con index was a 9 in the Tuscaloosa area when the 4/27/11 tornado hit. Northern Alabama ended up with a Tor Con of 10 that day. Only time I've ever seen it hit 10.

I'm surprised admins haven't stickied this thread yet. Where's Rummy when you need him?

The bosses at the br properties are trying to get us to close at 12, but main office is in New Orleans, so there is no way we close

Gonna depend alot on if cells develop out in the gulf and how those follow through. There's a few out there right now moving pretty sharply north and east, so if they develop far enough west we could get hit with that.

Here's the deal, the spin in the atmosphere will be here in spades this afternoon. You also need lift (temperature differential with height...basically). The warmer the surface gets, the more potential energy is in play. So the clouds will help keep it a little cooler here.

There's a lot going on here though, and I'm just a hobbyist. We will get bad weather here, I'm just guessing it will be worse to the east. I wouldn't advise making plans based on my guesses though.
