I'm not an SJW, Donald Trump is not hurting my feelings, and I have no strong feelings about "MAGA".

This presidency is an absolute disaster and Donald Trump is "melting" faster than ice cream on summer pavement, all front and center on the world's stage.

Is this official? The internet has still not picked up that it was Prince himself.

re: Nashville vs. Memphis

I actually prefer Memphis in 2016. Nashville's allure has kind of passed -- the city is full of bland cnodos, and the cost of living is high. Memphis has a lot of cool things going on, has a better urban infrastructure, is dirt cheap, has new restaurants being open all the time, and is just generally more interesting than Nashville. Crime is awful, but shouldn't be a huge issue if you're in Midtown.

Really, at least according to news reports. Not sure who downvoted that, it's true.

As of the 1st of this year they've gotten rid of the Battle of New Orleans plates and are back to the standard sunset pelican plate.

That should be just about everything you need to know about license plates.
They're about to start with three numbers followed by three letters.

Texas has got the license plate style down. Both the LSU and the Razorbacks plates look great.

You have to check out Lollie's New Mexican Food! I ate there twice while I was in town and I still dream about it to this day.

Do you know where the office is?

Would be somewhere in the vicinity of the 75/285 overlap.

Thanks for the tips, y'all. Tough decision but I'm leaning towards Memphis due to the fact that even though the city is a shithole, Midtown is pretty nice and always getting better, and the cost of living is much, much lower.

What part of the city were you interested in?

Not familiar enough with the neighborhoods to say. I would ideally want to live in a bungalow/Craftsman with 1500-2000 sq ft if possible.
I got an offer there and I'm trying to decide whether it would be a good move. My longtime girlfriend and I would be making about 95k combined income (sorry, but we aren't OT ballers), but I know that the cost of living in Atlanta has risen over the last five to ten years. Neither of us have any desire to live in the suburbs, and the true country seems pretty far outside of city limits due to urban/suburban sprawl.

Could we rent a nice house (not interested in an apartment unit/condo, either) in a good neighborhood on this salary and still have some money left over for savings?

I also have offers in Memphis and Little Rock so far, where money would certainly go farther, but the cities themselves don't have as much to offer.
Apparently Bogie's is doing free drinks from 12-2 and there are people planning to go
Missing Baton Rouge, or still with Baton Rouge in the area?
LSU is closing at noon tomorrow.

Edit: I waited too long to push submit.

Does this mean we're in for some serious shite or is LSU just finally taking precaution for once?

Check out Orange, Texas. The amenities are incredible.
Virginia, due to the influence of the heavily liberal northern part of the state.
Thanks for the tips everyone, even though there are definitely some contrasting opinions here.

I'm 28 and not married (not single though), so I'd probably be looking at Little Rock itself rather than the neighboring suburbs. The Hillcrest area looks nicer than most of BR, as does Midtown (both look to have tree lined neighborhoods and a nice selection of houses). I just don't know if I'd get bored quickly, although I can't imagine it being much worse than BR in that regard (outside of LSU football games, which I could still travel back to a few times a year).
I've been ready to get out of Baton Rouge for a while now, and I've applied to jobs in many places. My first job offer is for a position in Little Rock...I was interviewed in LA, however, and I've only been to Little Rock for ~24 hours about a decade ago.

For those of y'all who live or have lived there, how is it? Is it a nicer place to live than BR, or is it just another BR/Jackson/Montgomery, etc?

I've heard it has a bright future, but a lot of people say things like that about a lot of places.

What are the major pros and cons of the area?
