Wind, rain thunder and lightning It's like hurricane season outer bands outside.

And so the dogs have me up to make sure we're ok.

Had an EF1 roll through in June, this was a little less intense but still took out half of my neighbor's tree which is on my fence. Power out. Didn't hear any hail. Probably would have been more stuff down if the tornado, 5+ hurricanes and an ice storm hadn't already taken everything else down in the last year.

That Laplace rotation headed for the NS. I hope it dissipates.

I was woken up by a tornado warning in ascension but I can’t find details about it anywhere. TWC, here, media on Facebook - nothing.

yeah, relative velocity is showing 70mph, but that's a bit higher up due to 0.5deg radar angle, but it's clearly near the ground from my experience

There was reason to think a lot of that was being brought to the surface and close enough to the radar by that point your typical wind deduction for the height would still have that at severe parameters.

i mean when it's not the lightning that wakes you up, but the wind, you know it's getting bad

They had been doing break in coverage since 1am. They're on the ball covering this. WWL FTW.

Well, we north-central Alabama folks appear to have dodged this one with the main action staying to our south. Still getting a bunch more rain, though. After what I had with the storms yesterday afternoon, I’ll take it.

My power has been out in Denham for a while. As always, depending on TD for all updates.
