Larger than baseball hail. This is why I have a garage. We've gotten so much hail the last month.

Will be the 4th week in a row.

Edit: This is a post from 2k

NAM barely even gives DFW rain. HRRR also tapering northern extent. Looks like things MAY stay south or DFW will get northern edge. Trend is not good this morning if you want heavy rain/severe weather across all of DFW.

I need to drive to Houston from Metairie tomorrow. Anybody know what the best plan would be and what time to leave to avoid this shite?

Ehh there are straight line winds more damaging that an EF-0. Those just break some limbs, blow off shingles, toss your lawn furniture around

I can tell you right now its freaking muggy outside here in DFW

Classic dry line coming in toward DFW later. Haven't checked models yet this morning though, but looks like the SPC is shifting around the Day 1.

It is April and a big hail threat day. So avoid Denton.

You don't even need a hail threat to say this.

I’ve been avoiding taking a good look at my car from the hail storm last week.

Definitely moving my car into the garage today.

Fair point.

Yeah, I'd have my vehicles under cover by evening anywhere in today's Enhanced zone.

Where can I find this? I'm just planning to be home and all by 4 or so, but I'm just north of downtown.

Hatched area in the OP. First map is for hail.

If you're in the metroplex, you're in it.

So there’s really no window to drive towards Houston tomorrow and not have to go through this shite?

No because you would be driving towards it. The only other option is to wait until it passes if you can wait that late.

I guess if I leave at one I have some shitty weather for about 30 minutes and then might be ok the rest of the way
