So why is everyone getting so freaked out about "possible" a line of thunder storms. Maybe I'm too old to understand the hysteria. I will reserve my concern until I see something these storm on a radar.

Well that seems like an inadequate amount of time to react.

If I see really nasty weather on the radar in Lafayette or BTR I still have over an hour or two. Why get all hysterical over the "potential" for a severe storm.

I will admit that the weather did not pan out locally on Saturday like some were fearing, but some of the model guidances are depicting storms with strong rotation tomorrow. The ingredients are in place tomorrow. Will it pan out that way? I don't know, but I would be on the lookout if live north of I-10 tomorrow, especially.

those 25 mph forecasted winds might blow a limb down and knock a kids eye out

Look, Lars, if it hit Plum Creek, Walnut Grove or Mankato it would still be a big deal to someone.

Some stakeholders have to make decisions for groups bigger than Mr. and Mrs. HueyP.

The potential is there but hopefully has more clusters than individual cells.
