Most of these countries have rigid mask mandates:

But how does this compare to what they saw in March/April?

They have/had extremely rigid shutdown mandates too.

Who would have expected cases to increase after reopening?

Sweden should be used to as an example to prosecute the fraud and abuse of powers by our government

The point is, their actions aren’t mitigating or slowing down anything.

They are prolonging everything, kicking the can down the road.

They’ll shutdown again, numbers may drop, then they’ll open up, and numbers will increase again.

We have to let the virus move through the population.

Otherwise, they are simply on a never ending cycle.

OMG - and we're still 2 weeks behind Italy!

We're fricked, bros. Better say goodbye to your grandmas while you still can.

Apologies for my ambiguity. I am not for mask mandates or lockdowns.

My point was this is going to get promoted as hysteria for a second wave, when it is in no way as severe as the initial outbreak.

That was my point.

I mean...look at the scale....2.5 deaths per million, right?

I had brunch with friends over the weekend and they were blast our Covid response and how people need to wear masks, etc.

I commented the mask idea may not actually have any positive effect and I mentioned Sweden, to which I got blank stares. I explained how Sweden never shut down, never stopped schooling, never too the draconian measures other countries did, and now in Sweden it looks like normal life there.

They did not believe me so I Googled it in front of them to show them. I said it's hard to argue for shutdowns and masks when Spain did it all and they cannot get a hold on it.

Love seeing people's faces when they realize the media is dishonest as frick and they fell for it.

I remember some retard saying Sweden would be hit really hard on a 2nd round of COVID cases/deaths because they never locked down.

Are these countries counting all deaths with Covid like us or just deaths from Covid? Would love to see a true apples to apples comparison across the board. Problem is everyone isn't using the same metrics.

Not sure if it's changed but I read France only counts a death by COVID-19 if it occurs in a hospital and has a positive COVID-19 test. Whereas the US counts a COVID-19 death if you die and have ever heard the term COVID during your lifetime.
