Exactly. What do they have to lose? Let him file suit and let the chips fall where they may.

just guessing here... Entercom is making no public comments b/c the company assumed a lawsuit was coming and is making sure it has its ducks in a row for whatever may come

silence is the friend of the defendant usually when courts are involved

Correct. They are under absolutely no obligation to tell them a thing until after a lawsuit has been filed and discovery had begun. If Seth hadn't lawyered up immediately they probably would have kept them in the loop.

Once he essentially quit work and hired a lawyer...you aren't going to hear shite from them.

If you actually are who you say you are, I would advise you to make no comments whatsoever in these threads.

It was probably a big name that did it. Not an intern.

Who said anything about an iPhone?

You know something we don’t know?

How many big names are typically putting messages in on the station’s social media account?

This is a shame, but once he lawyered up, you know Entercom's legal staff was going to lock it all down and not share a thing, until forced to.

The lie detector test was weird, and now he's claiming 8 years of discrimination? Why not leave at some point in those 8 years, or raise the issue before now?

I don't think Seth did it... but I do think he sees dollar signs, which is a shame. He will never work again in sports, at least not in the role he once had (maybe he will go do Jamele Hill type stuff, who knows).

Entercom isn't going to make a statement, because if it was one of their employees not named Seth, that's basically admitting they share some fault and will have come lawsuit issues with that.

that probably gives them incentive to sweep it under the rug, which is also wrong.

Still want to know who is going to replace him. Still think he was the best sports person they had.

It clearly states it was sent from an iPhone.

But what's the problem? If the statement about him factually accurate, it isn't libel or defamation.

And of course, on a macro scale, as the homosexual lifestyle is now to be celebrated, wrongfully describing someone as a homosexual clearly can't be derogatory.

I guess I'm just confused as to what he's whining about.

Come on now, the word used is a slur.

Would it be ok if the account referred to a black employee as a n-word?

Which is why I think he'd be an absolute moron to do this. Maybe he is, I don't know.

Think about what a moron Smollet was in hindsight.

Entercom has responded that they have referred the issue to law enforcement. This is getting interesting.

I don't equate men having romantic and sexual feelings towards other man with the historical past treatment of black people.

And no, it wouldn't be "OK", but it certainly isn't a crime or a tort. There's no threat and no false negative information ascribed to him. It's just a mean word.

using your logic, calling an obese person a "ham planet" would warrant a lawsuit. I'm glad we don't live in your world.

Here's the deal. Sexual identity and race are both protected classes under federal law.

Weight is not a protected class under federal law.

You can "don't equate" all you want, but under federal law, harassment due to either is treated the same.

As far as it not being a tort... alone... probably... which is why his statement is alleging this "8 years" of harassment. A "pattern" is something absolutely considered a torn under federal / EEOC issues.

I just hope that in the course of all this legal wrangling, they make Seth prove that he is not a fig.
