This post is interesting because it kind of explains where we are with these anger-inducing, algorithm fueled social media rage cycles.
Serena Williams posts some dumb bullshite. In a normal world, people would be like “what is this stupid shite?” And then immediately just move on to something more interesting.
Instead we’ve built a machine where people read this post, then read the comments, then get into an argument about it. Now you’re spending some of your day arguing about some stupid bullshite Serena Williams - who is likely an uneducated, ignorant idiot just moronically thought about on a whim.
