There was some very tough fighting, but, Poland had no chance, especially once the Soviet Union invaded Poland just weeks after Sept. 1st.

Second Sino-Japanese War beginning in 1937 was a precursor to their involvement in WW2. Japanese invaded Manchuria over half a decade earlier than that.

More Pz IIs than PzIs, yes, BUT by May 1940 when Germany invaded France the lowly Pz I was a rather rare tank to see on the battlefield ( only 1 in 5 German tanks ).
So if your fave German tank is the Pz I, then Poland it is for you.
Did you read about how those Pz I tanks DOMINATED when the Polish Cavalry Lancers charged them? Those spear tips just scratched the paint on those awesome Pz Is.
