14" of rain over 10 days. Oh no. Head for high ground.

You would fit right in if you got hired by WBRZ

You’re a jackass.

I’m passing along info from meteorological sources without any opinion. Just info. If I worked for WBRZ I’d be this guy:

Deep tropical moisture in August can cause major flooding. It doesn’t have to be a tropical system. If PW’s > 2.5 inches, it could be troublesome.

South Louisiana should know this better than most.

any updates?

please tell me this is leaning towards SouthEast TX, we desperately need it. I'm tired of having to water my lawn every day, twice a day to keep it alive.

It is not.

Modeling pulls moisture toward Louisiana. Not much vorticity (think of it as a lift provider) showing up but what is there is showing up more for SELa. Rain totals not extreme for LA.

SETx looks fricking dry except for right by the coast where sea breeze boundaries would cook up some thunderstorms. Otherwise, not a whole lot there. Might get some precip a little farther inland next week, but doesn't look substantial at this time.

Not significant but this Thursday afternoon, pressures are slowly falling in west central gulf with lowest buoy pressures (3:00 pm) showing 29.88 (1012mb). Convection has increased and Slidell Radar shows coastal thunderstorms moving NNW. Rain the main concern this weekend in southeastern la.
