There's nothing wrong with BMI. Its just that people don't understand what its actually for. Its meant to measure obesity rates in huge populations, not individuals and it works for that.

I'm most like someone from Latvia. 25 BMI.

They use BMI where I work to determine our health insurance qualification. It's kind of ridiculous. Lot of guys that work out and are kinda big get screwed.

Per WebMD: "If you have a very muscular build, you could have an overweight BMI and still be healthy."

something's screwy here or my frame is just weird. i'm in just about the best shape i've been since HS. I mean i'm not roid raging with a six pack running an iron man every weekend but I'm not overweight at all.

I wear a size 30-32 waist and small shirts.

how is my BMI 55?

based on BMI is a fricking joke. yeah my bmi is 30 but bmi doesnt take in to consideration muscle mass. No big shocker that at 200# i have a higher bmi than 93% of the males in my age range around the world but only 30% higher than americans

again, bmi does not take muscle mass in to consideration. it should literally be thrown out and replaced with body fat percentage.
