I was living in California at time and a John Brodie and Gene Washington fan, so I had the 49ers jacket with matching beanie hat.

Always went straight to the action figures, video games and sporting goods.

Had both #1 and #3. Still have the #1 in my gun cabinet - 1980 is when I got it. It won’t hold pressure anymore. Wish could fix it.

I bought a couple of those Christmas Wishbooks from the 70s off of eBay some years ago. Perfect condition. Flip thru them occasionally and laugh.

I actually posses a physical copy of a Sears catalog going back further than this database.

When I renovated my kitchen a few years ago, I found an old buried milk door in an exterior that had been stuffed with old newspapers and books for insulation. Inside was a 1934 Fall and Winter catalog, pristine Sunday comics, photo clippings of Princess Elizabeth, articles about Adolf Hitler when he was still a considered a politician and not yet a monster/criminal against humanity, and much more.

No work got done that day after discovering the treasure trove.

this is awesome!!

1974 ftw!

i see toys i owned every couple of pages in that one.

we have most wishbooks from 1970-1985 at home somewhere but this is much easier to get a gut-shot of nostalgia all at once.

Awesome bro! Thanks! Bookmarked.

Found quite a few toys from decades past. The Sears Christmas Catalog during the 1960s were Toy Heaven. (Now I wanna be 7 years old again)

Christmas Wish Book arrival day was almost a holiday unto itself. My two brothers and I would pore over nearly every toy and sporting goods page, and we'd each make a list for our mom & dad. We'd give them detailed descriptions such as "page 375, item C: Mattel Hot Wheels, Mongoose & Snake race set."

For any fellow older geezers who might remember, Don "The Snake" Prudhomme and Tom "The Mongoose" McEwen were fierce funny car drag race competitors in the mid-60's through early 70's. Me and my middle brother spent HOURS racing each other with those cars and tracks.

Wow! The memories. My brother and I would spend hours upon hours making our Wish List. Thanks for sharing!

The majority of my Christmas in 1980 came from this page.

NFL gear in Sears catalogs from early 70s were awesome.

My brother and I always had the NFL jackets with the sleeves that were made out of some kind of rubbery material. They were so comfortable and warm.
