I'm not sure if this has been posted, but the link to the GoFundMe for the Scores Sports Bar destroyed in the Minneapolis riots is here: Scores Sports Bar GoFundMe

If you didn't know, the owner of the bar was a firefighter for decades and worked his way to create this bar in the community. He was videoed crying in a reaction that has been going viral. LINK

quote:

Scores Sports Bar was set for a grand opening this spring but when COVID-19 hit that was put on pause. Now, just as Scores was gearing up to welcome customers with updated guidelines from the govenor, George Floyd was murdered and everything changed overnight.

Scores Sports Bar was LOOTED, VANDALIZED and DESTROYED 5/27/2020. This black-owned business is left trying to pick up the pieces amidst mourning with the community.

About the Bar Owners: Kb Balla & his wife Twyana are active members of their community. KB is a Firefighter on the Brooklyn Center Fire Department and Twyana was a member of the Sounds of Blackness. They have a 4 beautiful children and the toll of this entire situation is heavy. KB has been a community entrepreneur for decades and coaches and contributes to the community in which they live.

Anything you can donate to start the rebuild process will be a blessing

Man, if someone had a mediocre or failing business who needed some boosts, sparking that sucker and doing a GFM seems like a hell of a deal. 700K is amazing to me.

You buy it, insurance companies find a way to deny coverage because of something like wind v. water or one of the other 98 types of exclusions and don’t pay your claim, and then they raise rates the following year. I think we all know how insurance works.

Clearly you don’t, because you don’t realize that insurance is a contract you agree to. You plenty of opportunity to review the coverage prior to agreeing to purchase.

Rabble rabble insurance is a scam
