Cant wait to hear all the stories of vacations and relaxation therapies all the teacher will get with a 5 week paid vacation. Then off for 10 weeks 4 weeks later!!!!!!

They’re going to have to make up the time they have off now during the summer time. They won’t have much of a summer this year.

Teachers have been told they still have to work durin this time off for the kids.

I don't really begrudge them if they are laughing their asses off over this one.

I talked to a teacher that's having to do online assignments for her second graders and I'm like "How in the hell is that supposed to work?"

Corona is what this country has needed to curb the rampant sexual exploitation of our school children by their teachers.

Many states are waiving the 180 day limit or however many days required in that state.

My wife is a first grade teacher, they have to work normal hours while students are away. They are looking at online classes for the kids, so no time off.

No they dont. These days are act of God days , this is what our school district said. The curriculum doesnt need to be met during this time. My kids also get their spring break dates.

I'm a teacher baw!!!! Flights are cheap everywhere!!!! Gonna splurge a little!!! Hell, we finally got a 1000 dollar raise from the state after 12 years of none. It only covered tje increase in insurance premiums. Go figure. I'm due a raise whether it be monetary or time off

Districts, and various states are handling these differently out of the gate

I have the same situation in my district, but you shut your damn mouth and let ole boy continue to trash teachers.

Not in WA. Already been announced that they cannot work past June 19 which is only 1 week after school would have been out without the wuhan flu
