Was part of the cheerleading team's code of conduct no political tweets? Because if not, this is a violation of free speech. And if it was part of the code of conduct, I would expect a huge backlash if a girl was kicked off for, say, a pro-BLM tweet

For a political statement. The cases that deal with kids getting kicked off of extracurriculars deal primarily with illegal or obscene language/actions.
This doesn't really fall into that category. The speech here is political in nature meaning it's afforded the greatest of protections.

It says midway through the article that they didn't punish her based on the Tweet alone, but they couldn't divulge that info due to privacy laws. So it wouldn't surprise me if there's more to it that falls under the realm of school discipline.

she can say its political all she wants but the fact that Revere is 60% white and yet she said that 90% of its voters are illegal seems to imply that, at best, she is woefully ignorant, and at worst, has a problem wither w/the population being 25% Hispanic or the large number of Asian immigrants that have settled there.(or both)
Regardless of her intent, her tweet pissed off enough people that I think the school can be covered under "threat of disruption"
