with Halloween coming up, I am in the mood for a scary movie to enjoy with Mrs. nineteeneighty. What is the scariest one you’ve seen?

The Strangers... way to real of a scenario.

Real talk:
Original Pet Cemetery.
Silence of the Lambs. Both were scary as shite.
But I don’t watch a lot of scary
Movies.

Exorcist reigns #1

Silence of the Lambs traumatized me the most. I saw it for the first time when BR was going through its serial killer phase.
The Paranormal Activity movies all freaked me out.
The Taking of Deborah Logan is a less well known movie, but well worth it. We’ve watched too many horror movies, so nothing really scares me anymore. This one did.
Creep was also unsettling.

I love horror movies. It is very difficult to frighten me, however. I'm jaded. Some movies do have the capacity to disturb or unnerve me, though. Some of my favorites:
Paranormal Activity
The Conjuring
Nightmare on Elm Street
Insidious
The Exorcist
Pulse (Japenese original, not the American remake)
Halloween
Blair Witch Project
The Ring (American or Japanese version)
The Shining
The Strangers (I actually detest this movie, but it is indisputably unsettling)
It Follows
Suspiria (Dario Argento original)

Psycho
And the Serpent and the Rainbow. Night it came on HBO was same night my second wife and I divorced a few hours earlier.

Was coming to this thread to type this exact statement. That movie made me never watch scary movies again

I found Event Horizon creepy as shite.

The last one I remember not being able to watch and actually turned off early was "The Green Inferno".
Cannibals give me the willies.

Pet Sematary has Zelda so I vote for that.
