Let's see just this weekend coming up you have Jazz Fest and the Zurich Classic among with the thousands of other daily activities you can do in Sportsman Paradise.

Although New Orleans is a "has been", Louisiana as a whole is a "never was".....which in a way is less depressing than being a "has-been" like much of the Great Lakes region
It's close enough to Texas so that people who move away can visit.
Now being serious. I've been fortunate enough to meet the greatest people in Baton Rouge and Lafayette. The food in south Louisiana is incredible, and I do think that SoLa a cultural diamond in the rough that is the Deep South today.
I sincerely wish that the New Orleans and Baton Rouge area grow into a robust megalopolis and that the opportunities of the next generation of Louisianaians are better in the state than they were for me.
