They’re trying to crush the US shale industry. Meanwhile taxpayers are giving them billions in aid dollars.

The Saudis are targeting Putin. The US market hit is incidental.

Actually Russia is.
The Saudi’s are doing this to punish Russia for not helping them support prices.

Gas below $2.00 a gallon couldn't last and has never lasted, this industry runs in trends and always has.
This is all manipulation to get the market back on par.

Low oil price is good for the USA as a whole.

Not the oil and gas extraction business. If they can't make money at these prices they will cease drilling new wells. Poof! Our recovery to energy independence goes out the door. But all will be well long term because that oil trapped in shale is going nowhere. But in the meantime it disrupts the business. I'm glad I retired from it.

The Saudis knew the importance of getting Trump over there less than a month after he was sworn in. There's a reason they wanted that first international trip - and it worked and he trusts them now:
ETA - this isn't a Trump problem, either. They've manipulated the United State for decades now.

Agreed they are not an ally but we do share a mutual interest in checking Iran's power
Saudi has been in a proxy war with Iran for nearly a decade in Yemen. It's their version of a Middle-eastern Cold War

This is something that really needs to stop.

The middle east will be the death of us all

It’s a nice slogan but not really a necessary goal for our country or the economy.

For a few reasons.
One, politicians give aid to foreign countries so that they can skim off of the huge untraceable amounts given.
Two, politicians give aid to foreign countries who in turn, give contracts to either companies owned by relatives of the politicians, employ relatives of politicians, are who invest in companies that drive up the stock of shares owned by politicians.

You are correct sir. But seeing as the company I work for just invested billions in money over there, I kind of want to stay friends with them.

And continue to ignore the biggest Elephant in the room that pretty much all terrorism world wide has Saudi connections and sponsors, and most of those sponsors have royal ties or bloodlines.
This is one of the biggest cons being played on the world community. Anyone that has tried to expose this has ended up dead.

I'd argue that no country in the Middle East is a true ally to the US. They may say and do things to appease us but deep down they do not like us.

so these idiots could pay a $200 higher vehicle not and $100 less on gas month

I’d say their main goal is to undercut Russian oil. That’s who their beef is with right now.
