Thought this was going to be an Onion story. Now I'm sad cause it's not.

Wait, Santa is fat right. Dear lord, this is unacceptable on any level. There are only so many years that Santa is fun for kids. Why be a douche?

Man this thread could be so much better if we could just go ahead and add the fact that he's a Travel Ball player and those are Travel Ball parents.
And LOL at the fact that they say body shaming then go ahead and put the kids picture on the news.
That's fricking hilarious.

I mean, Santa might not be wrong, but it's still pretty messed up to tell a kid that. Funny as hell.......but messed up.
I wouldn't be happy if somebody made fun of my kid. But I also wouldn't do anything other than maybe call Santa an a-hole (and probably chuckle a little).

Santa should have just said that the fat kid is lying

I'm glad it's real life. Santa was just giving fatboy some tough love. If the kid started exercising and losing weight as a result of this comment, it would be the best present Santa ever gave him. It just depends on how you want to look at the situation. When I was a kid, grown adults called kids fatasses all of the time. If you cried about it, it was one hundred times worse for you. So you just had to suck it up and make a better person out of yourself as a result. So these things can actually motivate kids for the better if channeled constructively.

I'm glad Santa told the kid to lose some pounds. It's the negative reaction and the fact that this is even a news story that makes me weep for the world.

"...goddammit!"
I watch that movie every December. I haven't seen the new one yet, but I heard it wasn't as good as the first one.

Yeah but if I had a fat kid and some pedophile in a costume made them cry with an insult I'd be pissed. But then again I wouldn't have a fat kid so there's that.

I would normally agree but this worker who agreed to play Santa knew what acting the part of Santa would be like. You don't say crap like that to kids when you're an actor that's playing a joyful and loving character.
It's not hard

1. Kid is embarrassed.
2. Call the media so his fatness can be debated amongst the entire world.
3. Kid is now super embarrassed.
Seems logical.

And yes this kid is fat
I'd have no problems if the guy who was playing Santa said that when he was no longer in character.

15 minutes of fame at the expense of your kid's psyche.
