Sanchez pleads guilty to Lockhart murder - the Bourbon Street dancer

This was the case where they dismembered the girl and threw the body parts into the Gulf. It was a hot topic on the OT back then.
Margaret Sanchez pleaded guilty to manslaughter Monday (June 20) in the death and dismemberment of mother and former Bourbon Street dancer Jaren Lockhart, authorities said.
Sanchez, 32, also pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice and conspiracy to obstruct justice in the 2012 killing, according to the Jefferson Parish district attorney's office.
Judge Stephen Grefer of the 24th Judicial District Court sentenced Sanchez to 40 years in prison. Sanchez was scheduled to stand trial July 11 for second-degree murder in Lockhart's death.

Good! Been waiting for some closure on this. Was such a tragic story 
I think a lot of people kind of knew she'd be the one to crack. Now they can get her pedophile boyfriend and hopefully give him the needle.
Edit: Didn't know Speaks was already convicted. Last I heard he was busy denying everything when the cops let him go.

While Mickey was still missing and before her murderer was identified, Lockhart's body parts started washing up and everyone at first thought it may have been Schunick.

Same here. I was fascinated by this case and all of it's players when this was going on.

Caught me by surprise that's for sure. I remember when both were picked up and she was released, but he was sent up to North Carolina or somewhere for another charge. Never knew he was convicted though.
