The guy is a dolt and his proposed resolution will amount to nothing. His word choice was poor, but nobody thinks the Blues are doing gun runs through the streets of SF.

Fleet Week is a huge deal and well supported by the locals. My sister's family used to live in the Laurel Heights area. We would stand on the rooftop parking deck of the Trader Joe's grocery on Masonic St. and watch the jets roar by on the days we didn't go to Chrissy Field or the Marina District. They were close enough that you could see the pilots. It was very loud and I'm sure some pets and non-aviation fans were disturbed by the racket.

SF is very densely populated. If a jet had problems and it couldn't make it to Golden Gate Park or the water, it would probably be catastrophic. So in that regard, the guy has a valid point.

Per his website, he also is in favor of extending voting rights to 16 year olds.

That pretty much tells you who you are dealibg with.

It needs to be raised to 21 unless you serve in the military. Who is an adult at 18 nowadays? Different times.

Ok. Then if SF is ever invaded, then military will concede your city. Choose wisely.

Probably a dumb question. Does San Francisco control the airspace above their city?

I would think not...but they may control the convention center which hosts the blue Angels. This a-hole is fringe, we aren't going to get rid of fleet week....everyone loves it.
