would expect that Plaquemines and St Bernard would see the first deliveries and Orleans and Jefferson to see deliveries after.

They are working to connect systems from upriver as well. JP supply NOLA supply St Bernard supply EB Plaq and etc on the other side.

That’s the plan. As of right now there are 5-6 intakes that need water. 4-5 on the westbank and 1 in St Benard.

There’s a big meeting Monday to decide how to get the water to each intake.

All they are going to do is go above the Huey P and suck in fresh river water and move it downstream to the intakes

That’s what they did in 2012

Thought the notch was to be in the Belle Chase sill not the myrtle grove.

The sill is north of Myrtle grove and south of belle chasse. River mile 65ish above head of passes

Why buy water? They will be giving it away.

Under edwards leadership, have we never not been under some emergency classification allowing for emergency use of funds or emergency use of powers by his office?

Right. That is the current sill.

Isn't a new sill being constructed. And that is the one with the cut? That one will be near Belle Chase.

It’s the only sill as of now and it’s still under construction. Not scheduled to be finished until Oct 15th.
If there are talks about another sill, construction hasn’t started yet

Ah, gotcha. I took it that construction of the second sill was immanent.

So the new raising/construction at myrtle grove will incorporate the cut.

There was a second sill (IIRC) in one of the previous low water events, but the current plan is to elevate the existing sill to 30' below sea level and cut (or extend) a notch for shipping traffic. It's located at Mile 63.8. Salt water has topped the existing sill and is near Mile 66 (approximately Alliance). It's about 9 miles downriver from the Belle Chasse intakes.

You used Edwards and leadership in the same sentence?

You’re right, Honor Code loves declaring an emergency. He becomes King and gets lots of Federal gravy to pour on his buddies biscuits.

Fielded calls for potable water tanks, large pumps and 10-15 miles of 48” pipe! I’ll be on the call, I think.

Should we get another booster shot and start masking up?

Not yet. Just start adding a little salt to your water to get used to it.

By the time seawater hits the muni water supply, you'll be able to chug it and like it.
