Especially when rain is the biggest threat for most. Never understood it.

Even though it’s still up in the air, we are leaving in the morning

Sucks, but I have to do what’s best for the fam. Thought about staying while they left, but I’m gonna just go with them.

What improvements have been made around Laplace?

Pretty sure they haven't done much. There are plans to add a levee system, but it hasn't been completed.

I'm in Covington 25 feet above sea level. Flooding is not a problem for me. It's the pine trees I'm worried about. I lost a house in Madeville during Katrina due to pine trees.

I really hope this storm gets some upper level shear and speeds up.

I would evacuate too. You are doing the right thing IMO.

Good call dude.

Hopefully it ends up not being a big deal and you can get back quick.

Sidebar: I'm going to need some cocaine for the night shift tonight.

Yea, I don’t think we will have to worry about flooding, but we have a ton of trees around our house and with 2 young boys the thought of being without power for a few days makes me wanna put my head through a wall

I feel real bad for the people down the road (port sulphur, buras, boothville, etc. they’re gonna get pounded

Same here. Thic is nice but she’s THIC. And her face looks like someone hit it with a sledgehammer. I’ll pass.
