Might rub one out after seeing those two going at it on the map.

I’m west of Mobile 10 miles from Mississippi state line. Constant wind with some strong gusts but fortunately still have power.

Duke, would you tell people to leave Destin?

Not now. They're stuck there.

Should be far enough east to miss the worst, I think, but Sally hasn't really been well behaved on the track side.

Are your people up high enough if it gets farther east and surges? If so, just ride it out. If not, get somewhere a little higher just in case.

My brother is behind boshamps. They’ve got water all around them but he said they shouldn’t flood. I’m not sure if you are familiar with destin, but once you get over the bridge there is a whataburger on your left. They are in the neighborhood behind that.

That’s gusts.
Sustained at 55mph.

The instrument on the NOAA site showed 61 knot sustained winds. I'm just reporting what the site is showing.

I'm not familiar with Destin, so can't help there. I'm sure somebody in the thread is though and will comment if this is a stupid place to be or not.

Fwiw, he fricked up on one of his really early posts and it kind of showed his hand.

I must have missed that.

Recon pass of the SE quad not encouraging.

92 and 93 kt flight level. (105/106 mph)

75 kt surface estimate. (85 mph)

Again, this is the SE quad.

My brother lives on Hwy 98 in Pensacola and his yard is flooded. He’s thinking about bailing to my parent’s house in north Pensacola. Said water is coming up fast.

Oh. I see.

Next time, if it’s not too much trouble, you might try a line that’s even remotely humorous for the rest of us.

If he can go, go now. It will get worse.
