Can we talk about how insanely unlucky the Mississippi and Alabama coast is with respect to hurricanes, especially major ones?
The numbers are unlucky for sure but it a lot of ways it's makes sense.
They'll tend to get those Yucatan Channel north runners and they're in the typical position where the steering ridge out in the Atlantic likes to start bending storms north typically.
Louisiana is typically going to catch something coming through the Florida Straights or some early season trash running north.

Gonna be a lot of frets about wobbles with it running this close to the shoreline.

Oh, and LA has the third largest tidal shoreline behind Alaska and Florida.
Texas??
Glad you asked. LA actually has 30 more miles of general coastline than TX - 397 to 367 miles. LA has over twice as much tidal shoreline - 7,722 to 3,359.
Granted, this is from a land survey in 1940 so we may have lost some since then.

I’ve asked and you and other may have answered, but I find the US Atlantic coastline and historical storm tracks to be quite the chicken or egg debate.

Are we about to have a Tropical Storm Alpha?

Looks like the northshore is going to be spared again.

I think it's only fair we get a cold front after this one moves through.

Coastline Paradox
Louisiana has been measured to have both 7,700 miles of coastline, and also 400 miles, depending on how you measure it.
Either way, both methods have more coastline than Texas.

Well, this just goes to show that even the smarter folks still make terrible decisions. She’ll probably realize this at some point and divorce you.

If im referencing the the flight data this "core" seems to def be moving more N than W currently.

I'm no expert but really looks like she's starting to wrap up those storms to form an eye wall.

Is it possibly that the storm has become sentient and is now planning a direct attack on Biloxi in order to bring to fight to the hurricane hunters directly?

The shape of the coastline is geological scale shite. You do have the gulf stream that's going to tend to have storms roll with it vs colder parts where the storms will fall apart.
Now looking at the number of barrier islands...might have something to do with hurricane strikes over the millennia.
