Having been sold to by a lot of bad salesmen before. Don’t be annoying. Much more important than whatever apps you’re using.

No quicker way to lose my business than harassing phone calls.

I don’t even entertain phone calls......they don’t even get the chance at an opening. I also understand there’s a lot of good people selling, so I’m not a dick upfront. That’s if they’ve managed to get in a couple of lines.

What many people don’t realize is that we are all salesmen in some form or fashion.

The telephone. A computer. And asking your clients for referrals.

Anything else is just window dressing that may fool your supervisor temporarily.

Don't confuse activity for progress.

I can start off with some really neat apps and plans and usually end up getting a call or two that throws a monkey wrench in my entire day. I long for a milk route.

This. While you're dicking around on your phone, I'm taking your customer to lunch.

While you’re driving around aimlessly I use my route app to see twice as many customers. See how that works?

I hit my mark for the month usually around the 10th to 12th day of the month btw.

Bunch of stubborn old assholes in this thread.

Back to work

Also, eat your lunch in your vehicle while driving to save time and see as many as two more customers.

Hard arse.

Also very important to cold call with any free time. I try to add three new clients a week. Buyers.

That sounds terrible. I’m so glad my sales gig isn’t like that.

Salesforce is what everyone around here uses but you better have a full time employee devoted to just keeping everything updated.

A sale is made on every call. Either you sell the client some product, or he sells you on a reason why he cant. Either way a sale is made. The only question is who is gonna close??????

Look. Haha. I’m not asking for sales advice. I do more than ok in sales. Just trying to make myself more efficient. I don’t need to hear how big of a bad arse everyone is.

I appreciate the responses that achieved the goal of the thread.

Salesforce is a little too much for our business.

If you work for a good company 90% of that should be provided. I would recommend you just sell shite and screw the rest of it.

Exactly. And if they (Mitch and Murray) aren't supporting you, walk across the street to Jerry Graff.

It's not selling, it's helping. Always keep that in mind. Btw cold calling constantly is retarded. Quality over quantity. All you need to do is keep the ones that pay your bills happy. Leave the minnows for you small fish
